If it seems like the days are fastly gaining more daylight, you are correct. Each day of February gains about 2 minutes of daylight. As we get closer to the Vernal (spring) equinox (March 20th), the days will gain about 3 minutes of visible sunlight. On March 20th, there will be 12 hours and 8 minutes of daylight. From this point on, the Northern Hemisphere will be the recipient of more daylight than the Southern Hemisphere.
