Another Wet Weather Event On The Way

Another storm system will affect the area during the next 24 hours.  An half-an-inch to 1 inch of rain is possible starting around 7 am and lasting through the afternoon hours. Rain will move from west to east across the area. An isolated strong storm is not out of the question for areas to the south, especially Putnam and Flagler Counties.

Even though temperatures will struggle to make it to 60's degrees, we should consider ourselves lucky. This storm system will put down 1-5 inches of snow in many states in the Southeast.

Synoptic Scenario

Rainfall totals for the next 3 days.
This wet weather event will be the last for awhile. North Florida will finally get a chance to dry out. A large high pressure system will build into the area, which will provide cool mornings and warm evenings. The next storm system looks to more than 1 week away. It is important to note that the First Coast is still about 14 inches of rainfall below normal.
