First Nor'easter of 2021 Impacts Area

The first nor'easter of the year for Northeast Florida started impacting the area on Saturday and gradually tapered off during the early part of the following week. Winds gusted as much as 50 mph, which brought down an occasional tree. Seas and high surf also led to minimal amount of beach erosion.

The nor'easter won't be remembered for its rainfall. Rainfall totals across Northeast Florida came in at an inch or less. More significant amounts were reported across interior Georgia. The increased NE wind and cloud over did keep temperatures significantly from their normal normal values in the mid 70s. In fact, highs only reached the upper 50s on Saturday and lower 60s on Sunday.
