Florida’s disaster preparation tax-free holiday begins May 28


Florida’s annual sales tax holiday to help residents prepare for hurricane season will run from May 28 through June 6. There are several items that will be tax free this year that will help consumers save money.

Some tax-free items include:

Flashlights and lanterns costing $40 or less
-Radios costing $50 or less
-Tarps costing $100 or less
-Coolers costing $60 or less
-Batteries costing $50 or less
-Generators costing $1,000 or less
